Summer at the State Auditions: February 9 at 11:30AM (Ages 14+)

Main Street Theatre Company is currently scheduling audition appointments for its summer 2025 productions of SHREK THE MUSICAL and ANYTHING GOES. Ages 8+ are invited to audition for SHREK THE MUSICAL and ages 16+ are invited to audition for ANYTHING GOES.
Ages 8-13: Saturday February 8 from 10:00am-12:30pm. (Auditions for this age group are open to current MSTC students only)
Ages 14+: Saturday February 8 from 1:00pm-4:30pm and Sunday February 9 from 11:00am-12:30pm.
All auditioners should prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of either show. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. No acapella singing.
You may be asked to participate in a dance/movement call following the vocal audition. Ages 8-13 should bring comfortable clothing and jazz or athletic shoes for the dance/movement audition, and tap shoes if you have them. Ages 14+ should bring comfortable clothing and jazz and character shoes, and tap shoes if you have them.
The role of Reno Sweeney has been cast in ANYTHING GOES. All other roles in both productions are available.
Please note the following dance audition times:
Saturday February 8: 11:15am (for ages 8-13)
Saturday February 8: 2:00pm (ages 14+ auditioning between 1:00-2:00pm)
Saturday February 8: 4:15pm (ages 14+ auditioning between 3:15-4:00pm)
Sunday February 9: 11:30am (ages 14+ auditioning between 11:00-11:30am)
Callbacks will be held on Sunday February 9 at 1:00 pm (Shrek) and 3:30 pm (Anything Goes). Those asked to attend callbacks will be given and taught material from the show.
