Summer at the State Auditions: Sunday February 11 at 11:00am (Ages 16+)
Main Street Theatre Company is currently scheduling audition appointments for its summer 2024 productions of DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID and CABARET. Ages 8+ are invited to audition for DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID and ages 16+ are invited to audition for CABARET.
Ages 8-15: Saturday February 10 from 10:00am-12:30pm.
Ages 16+: Saturday February 10 from 1:00pm-4:30pm and Sunday February 11 from 11:00am-12:30pm.
All auditioners should prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of either show. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. No acapella singing.
You may be asked to participate in a dance/movement call following the vocal audition. Ages 8-15 should bring comfortable clothing and jazz or athletic shoes for the dance/movement audition, and tap shoes if you have them. Ages 16+ should bring comfortable clothing and jazz and character shoes, and tap shoes if you have them.
Please note the following dance audition times:
Saturday February 10: 11:15am (for ages 8-15)
Saturday February 10: 2:00pm (ages 16+ auditioning between 1:00-2:00pm)
Saturday February 10: 4:15pm (ages 16+ auditioning between 3:15-4:00pm)
Sunday February 11: 11:30am (ages 16+ auditioning between 11:00-11:30am)
Callbacks will be held on Sunday February 11 at 1:00 pm (Disney’s The Little Mermaid) and 3:30 pm (Cabaret). Those asked to attend callbacks will be given and taught material from the show.
