Audition Notice: 2026 Fall Student Productions
CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY JR.

This production is open for students who are at least 8 years of age through students in the 8th grade.
INTO THE WOODS
Directed by: John Wagner-Malia
Music Directed by: Wyatt Wilson
This production is open to students in grades 9-12.
PLEASE NOTE: Students in grades 6–8 may be considered for either production. Final casting and placement will be determined based on where each student best fits the artistic needs of the productions.
Non-MSTC students may audition for both productions. There will be a $175 participation fee for performers not enrolled in a class with MSTC.
Rehearsals will begin in mid-August and will primarily be held on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday afternoon/evenings. Rehearsals will be held every day beginning in October.
AUDITION DATES/TIMES:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Jr (Ages 8-students in 8th grade): Sunday August 2nd and Monday August 3rd from 4:30-6:30pm.
Into the Woods (students in grades 9-12): Sunday August 2nd and Monday August 3rd from 6:30-8:00pm.
AUDITION LOCATION:
The State Theatre, 27 E Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401. Please use the main doors (box office) of the theatre to enter and exit.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
All auditioners should prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. No acapella singing.
For Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Jr: You will be asked to participate in a dance/movement call following the vocal audition. Everyone should bring comfortable clothing and jazz or athletic shoes for the dance/movement audition.
CALLBACKS:
Callbacks will be held the afternoon/evening of Tuesday August 4th. Those asked to attend callbacks will be given and taught material from the shows.
